Details of my 14 times great grandparents, Richard de Pyvelesdon of Emral, Worthenbury, Flintshire and his wife Lucy, daughter of Madoc Foel ap Ieuan

My 14 times great grandfather, Richard de Pyvelesdon, was born about 1328/33 at Emral, Worthenbury, Flintshire, home of his parents, Sir Roger de Pyvelesdon and his wife Margaret, born about 1338, daughter of Llewelyn ap Ynyr of Yale in Denbighshire and his wife Angharad, daughter of Dafydd Hen.

Richard married Lucy (sometimes referred to as Lleuki or Lleucu), daughter of Madoc Foel ap Ieuan of Eglwysegle, a division of the Lordship of Bromfield.

They had 3 children:

  • my 13 times great grandfather, Robert Puleston

  • Richard, who died without issue, and

  • Katherine (or Angharad), who married Dafydd ap Hywel Hermion, by whom she had 2 sons, Ifan and Thomas.

Richard died about 12 Richard III (1388/9).
